Olaolu Oyeyipo
Managing Director
Olaolu Oyeyipo is a seasoned investment banker with almost two decades banking experience driving value and growth for clients, assessing and managing financial risks, investment portfolios, as well as treasury, and business development. His expertise spans across various banking units, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability.
A trained economist with a B.Sc. from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from the Business School Netherlands, Olaolu possesses a strong academic foundation. He began his banking career in corporate banking at a leading Pan African commercial bank in Nigeria.
Throughout his career, Olaolu has consistently exceeded expectations. He successfully turned around a loss-making branch in Access Bank within two months, showcasing his ability to drive positive change. His experience in transaction banking at Ecobank included managing major distributors for industry-leading players. In corporate banking, he closed major deals, including a $285 million sale of a Nigerian brand to a global company, attracting significant foreign direct investment (FDI) to Nigeria.
His move to the Treasury Department further broadened his skill set, allowing him to acquire in-depth knowledge of Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodity (FICC) products. This expertise has enabled him to drive revenue and business growth.
Overall, Olaolu Oyeyipo is a well-rounded banker with a proven track record of success. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and brings to Orchidbay Investment his knowledge, experience, expertise and ability to excel in driving clients’ financial growth and wealth. Adebisi Afolayan
Chief Financial Officer
Bisi Afolayan is an experienced finance leader with over 16 years of experience in accounting, audit assurance and compliance across Canadian and international companies, including US SEC public companies. With experience cutting across diversified industries including manufacturing, wholesale, aerospace & defence, aviation, technology, entertainment, fintech, pharmaceutical, service industries and not-for-profit organisations, her professional capabilities allow her combine compliance with business value and growth
She is skilled in financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, and risk management. She has strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Bisi started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing audit & assurance services to clients in different territories – Nigeria, United Kingdom and Canada. She moved on to an aerospace & defence contractor after 10 years at PwC to oversee the accounting operations of a billion-dollar wholesale distribution company.
She holds a B.Sc. Accounting (1st Class Hons) from University of Lagos, Akoka. She is a Fellow with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario).
Itunu Lawrence Esq.
Company Secretary
Itunu Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.b.) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and graduated from the Nigerian Law School with Honors. She was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and has over 20 years of post-call legal experience – mostly gathered from her career with Guaranty Trust Bank as an In-house Counsel for over a decade.
During her years with the Bank, she managed the Bank’s property portfolio, inclusive of all Bank securities and Bank-owned landed assets. She was also assigned to provide specialised legal advisory and support for the Corporate Banking group, particularly Oil and Gas, Aviation, Beverages and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and the Corporate Finance team, during which she played an integral role in the legal documentation and advisory for some syndicated loan arrangements.
She is currently a Managing Partner of a law practice with areas of expertise in Corporate Governance and Compliance, Capital Market Operations, Commercial Law and Global Expansion, Financial Technology and Intellectual Property.
In practice, she has led her team in successful mergers and acquisitions processes, Capital Market Operators Licensing, and business expansion of companies into various markets around the world.
Olukunle Ezun
Consultant - Research
Olukunle Ezun holds a B.Sc. Economics and M.Sc. (Hons) degree in Economics with a bias in Monetary Economics from University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos state. He is a financial market expert with over 20 years hands-on experience in Macroeconomic theory, Monetary economics, Fixed Income and Currencies (FICC). Kunle is an expert in Macroeconomic and Treasury related issues such as Budget Review & Analysis, Monetary Policy Review and Analysis, and Fixed Income and Currencies; he is frequently invited by top visual and print media houses in the Country to share his expertise.
He worked with B. Adedipe Associates Limited as a Research Economist and Analyst working on economic analysis and developing short and long-term economic forecasts to inform strategic planning and decision-making. He then moved on to provide leadership for the Research and Market Development Unit of Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA) where he contributed to the creation of FMDQ, Nigeria’s OTC platform that helps provide liquidity, Transparency and Discovery for tradeable products in the Financial Markets. Kunle went on to join Ecobank Capital Group (Investment Banking arm) in 2012 to lead a team mandated to provide research support for the Treasury Business in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.
Kunle is a fellow, Financial Markets Association of Nigeria (FMDA). He is an attendee at the Bank’s Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) – providing Research and Strategic reports to support business decision. Kunle is a policy driven person with high level of compliance, and he will be providing invaluable insights and strategies to help manage financial risks, optimize financial performance, and support the overall strategic goals of Orchidbay Investment.
He has attended both local and foreign training on Business Strategy, Treasury Management and Financial Planning.
